John Greenwood has just returned from a two-week visit to Singapore, where he promoted Forbidden Hill and Chasing the Dragon, the first and second volume of his Singapore Saga series. John and Leslie Lim attended the VIP preview of ‘From Singapore to Singaporean, the Bicentennial Experience’ on Fort Canning Hill (or Forbidden Hill as he always likes to think of it), where they presented Minister Desmond Lee with a signed copy of Forbidden Hill.
John gave talks, book reading and signings at Littered with Books (hosted by owner Sheela Morthey), Vision Training Institute and the National Library (both moderated by Kirpal Singh). He fulfilled a dream when he read the passage about the passing of the ghosts of Forbidden Hill from Forbidden Hill on Forbidden Hill, during a talk he gave on the ‘The Real and the Imaginary: Discovering History through Literature’ at the Black Box Theatre as part of the Bicentennial commemoration. John also participated in Read with Michelle Martin on the Money FM89.3 radio programme and joined Jane and Pavla on one of Jane’s Walking Tours based upon Forbidden Hill (where he was delighted to discover that one of the participants came from his home town in Scotland).
Thanks to Leslie Lim and his team at Pansing Distribution for organizing and supporting the promotion, and for the best chilli and pepper crab in town.
